OnTek Horizon began the way most software teams do: building what clients asked for. What kept happening was the request behind the request. A store needed a prototype first. An app needed a pipeline to release it. A product needed an assistant inside it, and somebody to prove the assistant actually worked.

The usual answer to that is subcontracting — a designer here, a QA contractor there, and a project manager whose full-time job is carrying messages between them. We had watched that arrangement produce the same failure often enough to want no part of it. The gaps between specialists are where projects die, and no amount of process closes a gap that shouldn’t exist.

So we hired across all six disciplines instead. Designers, product and mobile engineers, AI specialists and QA engineers now sit in one office in Rajshahi and work from one plan per client. There is no hand-off to manage, because there is no hand-off.

What that buys a client is specific. You explain your business once, to people who all heard it. You get one plan with one price, covering only the disciplines your project actually needs. And the engineers who built the thing are the ones who keep it running afterwards — which is as much a constraint on us as a promise to you, because a team that will still own something in eighteen months makes different decisions in week three.

We work with businesses in Bangladesh and abroad, from founders with one paragraph and a deadline to companies replacing software that has outlived the team that wrote it. The brief that suits us best is a problem rather than a specification. We would rather tell you what to build than be told.
